Description

Objective of the CAMP project is to improve the public tran sport network, especially in areas with strong turistic flows, through the integration of telematic infrastuctures (City-wide Wi-Fi, etc.) to provide IP connectivity services, (ticketing, accommodation booking, etc.) e-Tourism/e-Mobility (e.g: road indications, user profiles and preferences), advertising. Heterogeneous technologies (e.g.: phone call, messaging, mobile navigation) are included on the basis of the involved actor context (status, position, profile). In this way the waiting time period at the bus stop, that we normally consider “wasted time”, turns up to be information, recreation, thoughtful user opportunity.

Furthermore, models based on historical data and on the identification of the current users (e.g.: number of users at the bus stop, checkin/checkout) allows to promote strategies for traffic relieving through suggestion messages, alternative possibilities. This is done together with the analysis of the continuous profile and user behaviour updating.

The research program is realized by 13 partners and includes 2 Universities, 9 Small Medium Enterprises, and 1 Enterprise company.
